Early Garden Planting

If you haven't planted your sugar snap peas and lettuce, better hurry! I was too late last year but this year my sugar snaps are coming along and loving this cool weather! Below I have two rows coming up that my daughter and I planted a few weeks ago. There is a row of lettuce to the left that isn't peaking through yet. If you are wondering this is my ground hog/deer feeding prevention system. Chicken wire stapled to the outside of the planter with it "sown" shut using a couple pieces of Bamboo so we can quickly access the bed. Of course the ground hogs could just burrow under and into my bed but I hope if they don't get a taste of the veggies they won't do it. And luckily none of them read these posts so crossing my fingers!
